Activities throughout the week included Big Breakfasts, Parents and Citizen’s (P&C) morning teas, interactive science shows, and art exhibitions.

A number of schools also invited local leaders to be ‘Principal for a day’. Cairns State High School hosted Taipans basketball coach Aaron Fearne as principal who recruited Taipans forward Cameron Tragardh ‘deputy principal’ for back up.

The annual week-long celebration is an opportunity to recognise the talent and achievements of students and teachers in state schools, and showcase their wonderful work to the wider community.
